Ride Schedule

QCW Points Race Series

The points race series has been a Philadelphia cycling tradition for many years. The races will run from February though March. These "training" points races are NOT USCF sanctioned races, there are no officials, no prizes and the course will not be closed to traffic.

The points race grows out of the Thursday night bulldog ride. It meets at the same time and place as the regular Thursday night ride: 6:15pm at the Bulldog statue (on the side of the Art Museum). The race training series is open to anyone, city-wide, not just Drexel Students.

Weekend Rides

Weekend rides will take place on either Saturday or Sunday, the day will be announced on the list server based on the weather and time of year. They will leave from the front of North Hall(33rd and Race) at 10am and then go by the Italian Fountain at 10:15. These rides will be about 2 hours in length and an easy to moderate pace, no one will be dropped. Always wear a helmet, and please bring food, water, and a tube. The other colleges in the Philadelphia area may join us on a couple of the rides.

Thursday Night Bike Polo

An informal biking sport that involves a soccer ball and a stick to score goals while riding on your bike. It is very easy to pick up how the play. Any skill level is welcome. The games start at around 8:30pm and go for an hour and a half. The location is at the end of the Fairmount park trail, by South St., at the park located after you cross the railroad tracks and make a left on the sidewalk. If there is a chance of rain or snow, an annoucement will be made that day if bike polo will happen or not.

Bulldog Ride

An informal hill group ride that is a fixture for Philadelphia cyclist. The ride goes of at 6:30pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays from the Bulldog that is located at 25th and Fairmount by the Art Museum. The ride features a couple of loops around Fairmount park and goes over a couple of hills that are contested. The group then re-groups for any dropped rides at the top of each hill before proceeding on. The ride last for about 30 miles, and gets back in time for bike polo on Tuesday. Please bring a front and rear light if you go on the ride.

See you there!
